History
Around 1906, Mr. Secundino Gil arrived from Navarra, Spain, to South America. He found in Chile the ideal region to plant vineyards –the Maipo Valley. That same year, he settled down at Isla de Maipo, verifying this way there existed pure and crystalline water sources, fertile soils and a proper climate, with sunny dry days, cold nights and wind coming from the Pacific Ocean in summer.

His descendants, the members of the Gil Ferrer family, have continued the tradition, cultivating vineyards and fruit trees in the farm called Fundo Miraflores. An interesting organic Cabernet Sauvignon grapevine cultivation project is being developed there.
